Management committee
The ACCS Management Committee is an initiative of the University of Queensland. The purpose of the ACCS Management Committee is to realise the full potential of all investments into waves of the ACCS, oversee research using the longitudinal components of the ACCS, oversee the leverage of the ACCS for additional funding, and further the synergies and collaborations that support the aims of the ACCS program of research.

Dr Rebecca Wickes - Chair
Rebecca Wickes is an Australian Research Council DECRA fellow and a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the School of Social Science at the University of Queensland. Dr. Wickes is an urban criminologist. Her research focuses on social relationships in urban communities and how changing patterns of social exchange influence and impact community regulation, informal social control and violent victimisation.
Lorraine Mazerolle is an Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow and a Research Professor in the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) at the University of Queensland. She is also a Chief Investigator in the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course, a Chief Investigator in the Drug Policy Modelling Program, and the ISSR “Policing and Security” Program Director.
Ross Homel is Foundation Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, and Director of the Key Centre for Ethics, Law, Justice and Governance. His accomplishments were recognised in January 2008 when he was appointed an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO).
Professor John Hipp - External Member
John R. Hipp is a Professor in the department of Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California Irvine. His research interests focus on how neighbourhoods change over time, how that change both affects and is affected by neighbourhood crime, and the role networks and institutions play in that change.
Dr Renee Zahnow - Early Career Research Representative
Renee Zahnow is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Queensland. She has been involved with the ACCS program of research since 2009. In 2015 she completed her PhD using data from Waves 3 and 4 of the ACCS. She is currently working on a research project that integrates the ACCS survey data with spatial and landuse data to examine physical and demographic drivers of social cohesion.
